Great Review!

Great Amazon review of the first book in my Summit Murder Mystery series, Murder on Everest. "Photogenic murder mystery with enough twists to keep you guessing. Mt Everest is really the main character, and you feel like you are on the mountain. Good character development for a book of this sort. I will read the next book in this series." Have you climbed Mt. Everest yet? Get your copy by clicking the link below. Murder on Kilimanjaro - New Review

Image
I'm thrilled to share this new review from one of my favorite reviewers The Midwest Book Review.  Thank you very much to editor-in-chief James A. Cox for a wonderful review! “The country can wait when family is on the line.   “Murder on Kilimanjaro” is an entry into Charles G. Irion & Ronald J. Watkins’ Summit Murder Mystery series.   Scott Devlon is hired to be the president’s guide as he looks for his lost son on the top of Africa’s tallest mountain, Kilimanjaro.   Finding that this guidance job goes beyond being bizarre because it’s for an American president, there may be more that hangs in the balance than a son, a president, or his country.   “Murder on Kilimanjaro” is well worth considering for lovers of mystery and suspense.”   – The Midwest Book Review If you would like to read and review any of the books in my Summit Murder Mystery series or Hell Series, please contact my publicist Jennifer Howell at jennifer@irionbooks.com! ...

New Book Review - Murder on Everst

Image
Very excited to share this amazing review with you from The Indie Bookshelf of Murder on Everest .  Murder on Everest is the first book in the Summit Murder Mystery series. In Murder on Everest when Derek Sodoc, only son of the world's richest and most powerful man dies attempting to climb Mt. Everest, questions are raised. Was it the mountain that sealed his fate? Or perhaps something more sinister?  After reading the book Abandoned on Everest that details Derek Sodoc's untimely death, Sodoc's father convinces the surviving expedition members to return to Everest - presumably to recover Derek's body. With billions at stake and a relentless father searching for someone to blame, everyone is a suspect. Set against the backdrop of the world's highest and deadliest mountain, Murder on Everest is filled with intrigue, sex, betrayal and mystery. It is unlike any murder mystery you've ever read. Thank you very much to Janna Mashburn for reading ...

The Allen Letter Reviews Murder on Aconcagua

Image
Great new review from the Allen Letter!  For those of you that aren't familiar with the Allen Letter, it is a Professional Journal for the Manufactured Housing Industry.  Their newsletter publishes monthly, and inside May's edition is a great review for Murder on Aconcagua.    "Does the name Charles (Chuck) Irion ring a mental bell with you? By now, it should!  Why?  He's the veteran LLCommunity owner who has fashioned a second career for himself as an author in general, a mystery writer in particular.  I've reviewed several of Chuck's books in past issues of the Allen Letter professional journal.  This time around, I've got a 'winner' for you.  His Murder on Aconcagua , 'A Summit Murder Mystery' is well done, but most important, is his first real 'page-turner'.  I read it during my flight to Las Vegas (MHCongress) a few weeks ago, and 'time just flew by', as I got to know his characters, learned more about mountain climb...

Dozens kidnapped by rebels in Peru

Image
According to the Associated Press article dated Sunday, April 15th, in Lima, Peru thirty-six kidnapped construction workers walked out of Peru's jungle to freedom after being released by Shining Path rebels who abducted them five days earlier from a town near the nation's main natural-gas fields, officials said. President Ollanta Humala told Peruvian radio station RPP that the guerrillas freed the captives because troops and police from a force of 1,500 men were closing in. Reports such as this one aren't having an effect on Charles Irion.  Currently training and preparing for his climb of Machu Picchu he's looking forward to his visit to Peru.  Irion is heading to Peru in June to climb Machu Picchu as research for his upcoming book Murder on Machu Picchu.  For more information about Charles Irion, please visit www.charlesirion.com For more information about the Summit Murder Mystery series, please visit www.summitmurdermystery.com

New Review of Murder on Aconcagua

AWESOME review received for Murder on Aconcagua, take a look!   "When I received the chance to do a book review for Murder on Aconcagua, I was very intrigued. It had been a long time since I had read a murder mystery and I was happy to have the opportunity to read this book. I have heard a lot of good reviews about the Summit Murder Mystery series and this book definitely did not disappoint. From the moment I read the Prologue I was hooked. The characters, story setting and weaving of historical locations made for a gripping tale. I found myself having a very visual concept of Aconcagua as I was reading. I could see the deep snow; the mountain trail ahead of me and even imagine the exhaustion and bitter cold, blowing winds as the altitude reached new heights. Among all the excitement of the climb you get wrapped into the characters and their ulterior motives. Mystery, murder and even a few creepy moments keep you turning page after page. As I reached the end of the book I re...

Review of Murder on Aconcagua

Image
Reviews are coming in for Murder on Aconcagua!  Take a look at this one from M. Lignor. The fifth book in the Summit Murder Mystery Series, Murder on Aconcagua, is I believe, the best one so far. The stories of climbing the highest summits on the continents of the world takes the reader along on the climbs with the professionals and you are right in the midst of all the drama, illnesses and accidents that take place on these deadly mountains. The summits are all located in different continents and hold the distinction of being the seven highest mountains in the world.  The main character in these books, Scott Devlon, who works for the United States Defense Intelligence Agency is sent off on another climbing expedition. The mountain is, of course, Aconcagua, the highest in South America. His latest task is to see if he can find three Inca idols made of solid gold that are being hunted by someone on the expedition. There is a faction that is working for Hugo Chave...
